Big Brothers Big Sisters has 83 children on our waiting list-55
of them boys.
Among the children who are waiting are three boys in the City
of Fredericksburg. Two of the boys are brothers - a soon to be
14 year old and a 12 year old. The 14 year old likes to play PS2
and watch movies and thinks that the best part of having a Big
Brother would be having a new friend. The 12 year old likes to
play outside and thinks the best thing about having a Big Brother
would be having someone to talk to. The third boy is 9 years old
and very athletic - loves the outdoors and looks forward to going
new places with his Big Brother. One is a very outgoing 7 year
old who loves the outdoors, riding bikes and video games. The
other is an 11 year old who likes to skateboard and is "high energy".
We also have a 14 year old girl in the city of Fredericksburg
who has been waiting for a Big Sister for almost a year and a
half. She really enjoys outdoor activities. Big Brothers Big Sisters
will be holding a Volunteer Information Session on Thursday, February
18th at 7 pm at the agency at 325A Wallace Street, Fredericksburg,
near the Falmouth bridge (behind Wachovia Bank on Rte. 1). This
session is for adults in our community who would like to explore
