WGRQ/WGRX
participated in the International Idea Bank Scholarship Program,
which awards funding to college juniors and seniors studying broadcast
related programs. Applications are submitted and a winner is selected
to recieve a $10,000 scholarship from IBIB and Sesac.

extended an internship to a junior from Bridgewater College. The student
learned about broadcast programming including production, on-air operation,
and on site broadcasting. |

performed an in-house training session to educate managers on EEO
rules and review policies on job postings, proper recruitment, hiring,
and interview skills. |

Telemedia
Broadcasting Inc. provides and opportunity to learn about radio, and
how it works, through station tours. The station's two program managers,
Jim Herring, and Tim Stone, head up this program designed to give
local youth groups the opportunity to see inside a radio station.
