Birthday: November 11th
Hometown: Paris, Texas…home of a lot of farm animals.
Favorite SuperHits Group: Four Tops, Booker T & The MGs, Stylistics, Who
Favorite TV Show: Anything in Black and White…Andy Griffith, Combat, Untouchables. Also, I like the nightly newscast, ESPN. I used to love ‘restling til I found out it was fake and, all along, I thought the step-over toe-hold really hurt.
Favorite Food: I’m dieting so that leaves out strawberry shortcake, chess pie, chicken and dumplings, chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy
Favorite Place To Hang Out: My home
Best Thing About The Fredericksburg Area: The people of Fredericksburg who are from all walks of life but all have one story to tell and I want to know what it is.
My Secret Talent: I can drink a glass of water while singing Gregorian Chants.
One Thing You Don't Know About Me: I felt if I had been reincarnated, then I was a pilot of a bomber in World War II and shot down over Germany. Fate unknown.
How I Got Into Radio: Answered a trivia question “How long did Rip Van Winkle sleep?” Went to the radio station in my hometown to pick up the prize, and have never really left. That was May 1962 and on August 14, 1962 I did my first radio show. I was 13 years old then. Yep, I’ve been polluting the airwaves now for over 50 years.
What I'd Be Doing If I Wasn't On 95.9: Hunting for another job or maybe a dipper on a honey wagon.
